Brass Queens at Rainbow Summer
Free Event
Brass Queens is a female-led brass band based in New York City, known for shaking up the traditionally male-dominated brass scene since their debut in 2019. Known for their energetic street performances and dynamic stage shows, they’ve earned a reputation as “the hardest working band in town.” Their sound blends New Orleans brass tradition with NYC flair, delivering party-ready sets of pop, reggaeton, and jazz.
Co-founded by Alex Harris and Ally Chapel, the band tours nationally and internationally, with appearances at top festivals like Ottawa Jazz Festival and Exit Zero, and high-profile gigs including The Met Gala and Good Morning America. Notable clients include Chanel, Facebook, and Tiffany & Co. Their discography includes Royal Street (EP), Black & Gold, and their all-original album Hot Tub Sessions Vol. I. Brass Queens continues to champion visibility for female musicians, one show at a time.
“Brass Queens band, a New Orleans-inspired all-female band, blasted out bright, buoyant tunes… ” — The New York Times
