Founded in 1970, Milwaukee Ballet strives to inspire its audiences to think within and beyond traditional ballet through the presentation of quality performances and the implementation of education opportunities. Milwaukee Ballet and Milwaukee Ballet School are recognized among the top companies in the nation.
Milwaukee Ballet presents more than 40 performances to more than 50,000 people each year. Its resident company includes 25 professional dancers along with 16 trainees in its Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II program and is one of the few dance companies in the country to maintain its own symphony orchestra.
2013-2014 Milwaukee Ballet Season
Milwaukee Ballet Company's 44th performance season is sure to be a remarkable one, from classic stories to contemporary styles, there's a show to suit every taste. Some highlights of the season include the hauntingly beautiful Romeo & Juliet, the holiday spectacular The Nutcracker, and the world premier of Mirror Mirror, a classic with a dark twist. LEARN MORE
"Spring Series" treats Milwaukee to choreographers with fans all over the country. In their much-anticipated returns, Matthew Neenan and Amy Seiwert will premier two new works tailored specifically to the strengths of the company dancers. Venezuelan choreographer Vincente Nebrada puts a twist on traditional dance in "Our Waltzes," featuring live piano accompaniment. Learn More
