Associated Bank Broadway at the Marcus Center and Broadway Across America – Milwaukee invite you to experience the sounds and splendor of Broadway at the Marcus Center throughout 2017 – 2018. Coming next season to Milwaukee is AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, the Tony® musical about magic and romance in Paris, the Tony® Award and Pulitzer Prize winning RENT 20th Anniversary Tour, Andrew Lloyd Weber’s high-octane, hilarious SCHOOL OF ROCK featuring the first-ever kids rock band, WAITRESS, the musical brought to life by an all-female creative team, the breathtaking smash hit musical, FINDING NEVERLAND, and the hilarious and critically acclaimed Tony® award-winning musical, A GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER. KidZ Days At the Center Returns to the Marcus Center’s KidZ Stage

 

The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts is announcing its 14th year of programming for the KidZ Days At the Center from June 14 through August 18, 2016, which is part of the Marcus Center’s children’s programming. KidZ Days showcases a variety of live performing arts that incorporates an educational component and encourages interactive participation. This educational arts program has a tradition and reputation of providing quality performing arts, early childhood education, and cultural enrichment to our young people free of cost.

Live at Peck Pavilion

Live At Peck Pavilion Returns this Summer!

 

Live @ Peck Pavilion and Peck Flicks returns to the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts grounds this summer. The season will run from July 6 through August 26 and each day of the series will have a different program focus . This year, Optimist Theatre: Shakespeare in the Park will join the line up on July 6-9, July 13-16 and July 20-22 at 8 pm with a performance on July 18 at 12 pm and they will present Much Ado About Nothing. All the events in Peck Pavilion will all be free and open to the public.

 

The Live at Peck Pavilion series will culminate in a day-long celebration titled: Taste of Islands. This one-day celebration starting at 2 pm will focus on island culture with music, art and food. This year, The Florida Keys is the featured island and national touring Jimmy Buffest Tribute Band: BLUFFET will perform plus kids activities, art vendors and more! Marcus Center’s Peck Pavilion features fixed seats in a covered pavilion along the beautiful Milwaukee Riverwalk. Events are presented rain or shine.

 

All performances are free and open to the public. Food and beverage will be available for purchase for all events from Sazama’s River’s Edge Patio. No carry in food or beverages are allowed. LEARN MORE


Black Violin

BLACK VIOLIN Comes to the Marcus Center

 

Black Violin is coming to the Marcus Center’s Uihlein Hall for one night only on Saturday, October 28 at 7:30 pm. This performance is a co-presentation of the Marcus Center and Black Arts MKE.

 

Black Violin is composed of classically trained violist and violinist Wil B. and Kev Marcus who combine their classical training and hip-hop influences to create a distinctive multi-genre sound that is often described as “classical boom.” The band released their major label debut Stereotypes ( featuring Black Thought of The Roots and MC Pharoahe Monch) on Universal Music which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Classical Crossover Chart and #4 on the Billboard R&B Chart. Black Violin has shared stages with top names including Kayne West, Aerosmith and Tom Petty, and has creatively collaborated with the likes of Wu – Tang Clan, Wyclef Jean and Alicia Keys. LEARN MORE
