It Gets Better

March 2nd, 2014

The It Gets Better Project™ was founded in September, 2010, when the first it gets better video was uploaded to YouTube, igniting a worldwide phenomenon. That video offered a desperately needed message of hope to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. It urged them to tough it out through the bullying and other challenges that confronted them in their teenage years, and described the positive future they could experience as adults. It told them that no matter how difficult things may be today, it gets better. Today, the mission of the It Gets Better Project is to communicate to LGBT youth around the world that it gets better, and to help effect the changes necessary to make it so. The team at the It Gets Better Project is thrilled to collaborate with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles in bringing the it gets better message to the stage.

Appropriate for audiences 13 and up.

Calling All Singers!

The it gets better project is coming to Milwaukee and we need your voice! We are looking for singers (all voice types) to join the community choir and participate in the performance on March 2. This will be a powerful collaboration between IGB company artists and community singers culminating in a critical on-stage performance in the it gets better production.

Singers will need to commit to rehearsals leading up to the company’s arrival in Milwaukee as well during the week leading up to the performance. Music will be provided as well as MP3 files for preparation. Singers will be featured IN the performance and will be provided a special discounted ticket code for their friends and families to see them perform!

Does this sound like you? Then email our community choir coordinator Tim Ruf at today!

This show's performances are over.
