Black Nativity is a heartwarming and moving gospel song play by Langston Hughes. The power of gospel music, telling the story of this beloved, family friendly classic that began with the first star in Bethlehem almost two thousand years ago.

Black Nativity 2016 will link this story of hope to relevant themes occurring throughout our community and the country today. Directed by Bronzeville Arts Ensemble’s Producing Artistic Director, Malkia Stampley. Music direction by Antoine Reynolds, choreography by Marvette Knight.

Black Nativity is Co-Produced by Black Arts MKE and Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.

Saturday, December 10th -  "Milwaukee's Young, Gifted and Black Leaders"

Some of Milwaukee's top youth artists respond to Black Nativity's modern twist and the Milwaukee parallel, introduced by Milwaukee's leading youth advocates.

Invited Guests - County Supervisor Supreme Moore, Alderman David Bowen, Muhibb Dyer, Brit Nicole of COA, Kaylan R. Haywood, II, President of Milwaukee's Youth Council.

Dear Nonprofit Friends and Students:

We want the entire community to be able to enjoy Black Nativity by Langston Hughes. Two Community Nights have been added to this year's schedule for nonprofit organizations and students.

Community Nights are November 30th and December 7th ONLY, 7:30pm performance. Ticket prices on these two nights ONLY - adults $20 and children/youth under 19 are $5 per person.
