DESCRIPTION:Milwaukee’s cherished summer tradition is back—Summer of Soul 2025 brings the rhythm\, flavor\, and soul of the city to the heart of downtown. Ranging from R&B and Latin jazz to funk\, soul\, and hip-hop\, it’s just the start of what makes this event extraordinary. More than a free concert series\, Summer of Soul transforms into a vibrant block party\, featuring a rotating marketplace with local artisans\, makers\, and community vendors\, along with delicious bites from Milwaukee’s top food trucks.  \nEach night\, a curated blend of national and local talent offers audiences a front-row experience to some of the most dynamic performances of the summer. This season’s lineup is headlined by Grammy-winning vocalist Bilal\, iconic hip-hop trio Digable Planets\, genre-bending jazz artist Madison McFerrin\, and Salsa legends Septeto Charambo—with opening acts including Milwaukee favorites Shonn Hinton\, Kid Cut Up\, Grace Weber\, and Gego y Nony.   \n Bring a lawn chair\, grab a bite\, and soak in the sounds beneath the stars. SUMMARY:Milwaukee Police Band at Rainbow Summer
DESCRIPTION:Free Event\nMilwaukee Police Band represents the Milwaukee Police Department and serves the community by providing music\, education\, and goodwill\, while preserving the historical importance of the band. Under the direction of Retired Lieutenant Karen Dubis\, a 43-year veteran of the band and 37-year veteran of the department\, members of the Milwaukee Police Band continue in their role as “goodwill ambassadors” to the citizens of Milwaukee. They cherish the opportunity to do our part to improve the quality of life in the City of Milwaukee and are the oldest police band in the nation.  \nSince 1969 the Marcus Center has been proud to be part of the Milwaukee County War Memorial\, honoring all those who have bravely served our country. On this special day\, we will celebrate and honor veterans\, public service heroes\, and essential workers in our community.  \nComprised of volunteer civilians and police members\, the Band is funded solely by the Milwaukee Police Band Association and is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.    \nStay tuned to MPAC Socials for any weather updates that may impact the event. \n  \nDaily Schedule:\n2:00 PM – Milwaukee Police Band performance in Peck Pavilion  \nAll Day FUN\n“Lost” by Amanda Parer\nRainbow Piano – BE the art!\nGiant Lawn Games  \nFood & Beverages\nSazama’s River Edge Patio serving Saz’s Festival Favorites and Beverages starting at 12:00 PM  \nNo carry-ins permitted.
