DESCRIPTION:Milwaukee’s cherished summer tradition is back—Summer of Soul 2025 brings the rhythm\, flavor\, and soul of the city to the heart of downtown. Ranging from R&B and Latin jazz to funk\, soul\, and hip-hop\, it’s just the start of what makes this event extraordinary. More than a free concert series\, Summer of Soul transforms into a vibrant block party\, featuring a rotating marketplace with local artisans\, makers\, and community vendors\, along with delicious bites from Milwaukee’s top food trucks.  \nEach night\, a curated blend of national and local talent offers audiences a front-row experience to some of the most dynamic performances of the summer. This season’s lineup is headlined by Grammy-winning vocalist Bilal\, iconic hip-hop trio Digable Planets\, genre-bending jazz artist Madison McFerrin\, and Salsa legends Septeto Charambo—with opening acts including Milwaukee favorites Shonn Hinton\, Kid Cut Up\, Grace Weber\, and Gego y Nony.   \n Bring a lawn chair\, grab a bite\, and soak in the sounds beneath the stars. DESCRIPTION:Free Event\nBrass Queens is a female-led brass band based in New York City\, known for shaking up the traditionally male-dominated brass scene since their debut in 2019. Known for their energetic street performances and dynamic stage shows\, they’ve earned a reputation as “the hardest working band in town.” Their sound blends New Orleans brass tradition with NYC flair\, delivering party-ready sets of pop\, reggaeton\, and jazz.  \nCo-founded by Alex Harris and Ally Chapel\, the band tours nationally and internationally\, with appearances at top festivals like Ottawa Jazz Festival and Exit Zero\, and high-profile gigs including The Met Gala and Good Morning America. Notable clients include Chanel\, Facebook\, and Tiffany & Co. Their discography includes Royal Street (EP)\, Black & Gold\, and their all-original album Hot Tub Sessions Vol. I.
