As part of its commitment to racial equity diversity and inclusion (REDI), Marcus Performing Arts Center debuts its Cultural Ambassador Program.

Green Bay Packer legend and community advocate, Donald Driver, is the organization’s first Cultural Ambassador. Donald Driver joins MPAC to promote the power of the arts, culture and community engagement by making the performing arts more accessible to underserved youth, families and communities of color throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

Through the four-year partnership, Driver will work with MPAC to create educational community and youth content, and provide access to MPAC programming to underserved communities and student groups sponsored by the Donald Driver Foundation.

As a Super Bowl Champion, Dancing with the Stars Champion, Green Bay Packers All-Time Leading Receiver, and 2013 AMVETS Humanitarian of the Year who has overcome homelessness among many other accomplishments, Donald Driver has become one of the most community-minded athletes of his generation.

What to watch for:

In this first season of the Cultural Ambassador partnership, Donald Driver will participate with Hiplet dance company, connecting with performing artists to exchange ideas on dance, community, athleticism and breaking down stereotypes in dance.

Future seasons of the partnership will include additional artist collaborations and a co-commission of a new First Stage play for young audiences and their families based on Driver’s successful Quickie Series children’s books.
