In 2004 the Marcus Center reached a significant milestone - it began its 35th year of operation. Looking back over the history of Milwaukee, it would be difficult to find a better example than the Marcus Center of how a community can nurture an idea and make it a reality. And it is gratifying to see how the Marcus Center, which began as the "center" of the performing arts community in 1969, continues to be the premier performing arts venue in Southeastern Wisconsin.
Approximately 800,000 people attend events each year at the Marcus Center. These events include performing arts, children's programming and education, free community events, commercial presenters and business users, catered events, and rehearsals. We continue to provide quality entertainment to Milwaukee thanks to our donors and sponsors.
