Kidz Days At the Center

KidZ Days At the Center

KidZ Days At the Center is our free programming for children, held outdoors on KidZ Stage throughout the summer months on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.  This community service provides live performing arts that incorporate an educational component and encourage interactive participation.

In addition to our regular presenters, such as First Stage, Milwaukee Ballet and Milwaukee Public Library, we include a number of culturally diverse performing groups.  Some of these groups include the Trinity Irish Dancers, Lucky Diop Kassumi –African Drumming & Dancing and Andando Solo.

KidZ Days In the City

KidZ Days In The City is a component of KidZ Days At the Center and was launched in the summer of 2011. Family Nights At the Center

Family Nights At the Center

As part of our continued commitment to engage our communities and diversify our audiences, the Center offers a program called Family Nights At the Center. This outreach program engages at-risk families in targeted neighborhoods to attend theatre together at least twice throughout the Broadway Season. These experiences include orchestra level seating for the show, a post-performance reception and an opportunity to meet the cast & crew of the show.

How to Participate in the Program

Through this program, we select a community-based organization that assists us in inviting families from their specific neighborhoods to participate. This year’s selected community based organization is the Dominican Center for Women and the Broadway Shows will include War Horse and Phantom of the Opera. Some of the past participants of the Family Nights At the Center program include Journey House, United Community Center, Latino Community Center and Coalition for Children, Youth & Families.

Sponsors

Our program sponsors include Northwestern Mutual Foundation and Forest County Potawatomi Foundation.
