KidZ Days In The City is a component of KidZ Days At the Center and was launched in the summer of 2011. Through this program, we are able to provide educational and interactive arts programming at various community-based organizations and schools throughout the city of Milwaukee. Programming takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer months from 11:00 am – 12 pm.
Overall, KidZ Days In the City will allow us to reach more children that do not have the means to attend our on-site programming. Some of our KidZ Days In the City sites have included, Boys & Girls Clubs of Milwaukee, Journey House, Silver Spring Neighborhood Center, United Community Center, Neighborhood House of Milwaukee, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Hmong American Peace Academy.
This community outreach program is free, however it is not open to the general public. KidZ Days In the City programs are coordinated by Marcus Center staff, as well as representatives of the various community based organizations and schools.
The Summer 2015 KidZ Days In the City Program will be sponsored by Forest County Potawatomi Foundation, Brewers Community Foundation and April Calvert and Cathy Seasholes.
