The newly formed Marcus Center’s Arts Connect program is a collaboration with Milwaukee Public Schools. For the 2015-16 Season, the Marcus Center will be working exclusively with 20 Riverside High School students that have a strong interest in the performing arts. As part of this program, the students will participate in a week-long summer intensive in conjunction with the Broadway Smash MOTOWN the Musical in July. Culminating the week-long intensive, will be an opportunity to see the live performance of MOTOWN The Musical. In addition, the students will have an opportunity to participate in workshops with select cast of at least two of the Center’s upcoming 2015-16 Broadway Shows, as well as other exclusive opportunities with our Off-Broadway Shows. Throughout the year, the Marcus Center will be working alongside Riverside High School in regards to their high school musical theater program.
At this time, Riverside High School is the school that we have selected to work with during the 15/16 Season.
Our program sponsors include the Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation, Inc. and Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.
