Marcus Center volunteer ushers enjoyed a backstage tour and Phantom-Themed reception in the Green Room.
All volunteers that worked for four or more Phantom of the Opera performances during the month-long run last August were invited to attend.
The evening began on Uihlein Hall stage with some Marcus Center history, Phantom trivia, and some interesting facts about the theater.
The self-guided tour gave volunteers a look at the Chorus Rooms, Dressing Rooms, Wardrobe and Make-Up, a walk through the loading dock and on to Vogel Hall stage and Todd Wehr Theater's backstage.
Marcus Center volunteers were on hand backstage to help direct our tour.
The Phantom of the Opera Overture and flickering candleabras greeted volunteers as they entered the Green Room for the reception. There they enjoyed an array of French pastries and Alterra hot chocolate while visiting with friends and co-workers.
A few lucky raffle winners left with Phantom posters signed by the cast, Trader Joe gift bags, Phantom tee shirts, and a Phantom of the Opera music box.
